"One of the organization’s first prominent projects was giving safety belts a second life instead of having it contribute to waste piles. You'll be surprised at what a sturdy material it can be to create bags with a sleek finish. "
"Felt carpets and advertising banners, seatbelts and preloved kimonos. Those were their previous lives, but these items now live on as high-fashion bags made by Biji-Biji Initiative. The intricately designed fabric was perfect as highlights for the seatbelt bags plainer pieces became the linings."
Chic but practical!
"This bag is beautifully designed with a clever pickpocket resistant zip! It had a lot of space for iPads and other items and though made of seatbelts it doesn't look like it has been made of seatbelts! I really liked the striped design. I might buy another!!"
